We offer classes six days a week at either of our two locations to provide the best opportunity of availability for the busy family looking to add music education to their schedules. With a variety of teachers on each instrument you have the ability to tailor your education to your own particular style and needs and with our commitment to hire skilled and qualified instructors you have the piece of mind knowing any instructor you choose can assist you in working towards your goals.
Group classes
School of Rock — The School of Rock program offered at Studio 9 School of music is a suplimental program to assist current students in developing the skills needed to form their own band. Students will take the skills and abilities they have built in their private lessons and will apply them in a real band setting where they will work with a professional musician to form a band, learn a repertoire and perform a show. Classes are 1 hour a week and will continue for the course of one semester.
Keyboard Adventures the Safari — A unique keyboard program developed for students age 4-8. The class is separated by age, 4 year olds in the junior safari, 5 and 6 year olds in the intermediate Safari and 7-8 year olds in the Senior Safari. Each class is written for the specific developmental stages and requirements of their age level in order to maximize their success. Students learn to play the piano with specific piano instruction with a unique teaching system that uses stories, games, songs, rhythm skills and specific piano songs that encourage a fun learning environment. Acting Classes — 3, 2, 1…Action! If you’re looking for a fun way for your child to dive into acting, you found it! In this one hour weekly group class, your thespian-in-the-making will receive training in a wide spectrum of theatre styles. Some of these styles include: improvisational exercises, movement, vocal warm-ups, and performance skills to enhance their inner actor. By using a combination of concentration, group cohesion, and scene study exercises, along with the styles listed above, all acting students will come away with a basic understanding of how to create a character and incorporate that character into a group performance. All classes will finish with a free performance for family and friends.
